James L. Waldo
James L. Waldo obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in
Geology from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas. His
additional academic studies include groundwater hydrology,
mathematics, organic and inorganic chemistry, and phase contrast
microscopy with emphasis on asbestos identification and fiber
counting.
James has worked with EEG since 1996, most recently as
an Environmental Professional/Geologist. His experience includes
work as an Industrial Hygienist, including project management and
air monitoring for asbestos abatement projects. James has collected
suspect material samples for analysis, performed project management
and air monitoring services during the abatement activities. James’
laboratory experience includes daily laboratory operations relating
to asbestos and chemical analyses, field sampling and chemical
hygiene. James also performed quality control functions required by
NVLAP, AIHA and state certification programs. James’ analytical
experience includes phase contrast microscopy and various bench
chemistry tests.
Since 2000, James has been supervising asbestos abatement
projects and asbestos inspections. He is an EPA/AHERA Accredited
Asbestos Inspector, Air Monitor and Supervisor/Contractor and has
completed the NIOSH 582 Equivalency Course. He has also been
performing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments. Additionally,
James has performed or assisted with several Phase II Environmental
Site Assessments. Mr. Waldo is
currently listed with the Arkansas Department of Environmental
Quality (ADEQ) as outlined by the Arkansas Pollution Control and
Ecology Commission's Regulation 32. This Regulation requires ADEQ
maintain a list of environmental professionals who meet the
education and experience requirements set forth in federal
regulations 40 CFR 312.10 and Regulation 32 32.301(B) Certification
Criteria for Phase I Consultants. |
