Robert E. Smith
Robert E. “Bob” Smith attended Arkansas Tech University from 1979-1983 and worked toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science. Mr. Smith has more than 20 years of experience in the environmental services field and has been a part of EEG’s professional staff
since 1998. Prior to joining EEG, he provided private, on-site environmental consulting services for a Portuguese firm involved in various long term remediation efforts at United States Air Force facilities in the Azores, Portugal. Mr. Smith served as President of AmeriTech Environmental Services in South Portland, Maine and was responsible for acquisition and management of all remediation projects ranging from Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)
studies to asbestos and lead based paint abatement and Underground
Storage Tank (UST) remediation.
As Vice President, Mr. Smith is responsible for the
management of EEG’s field services and for the development of plans and
specifications for remediation efforts. Bob is a highly qualified expert
in the field of asbestos and lead consulting and has been strategically involved
in numerous underground storage tank (UST) remediation projects throughout the
United States and abroad. In addition, Mr. Smith has been responsible for
the development and implementation of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Programs
to manage existing environmental hazards in client facilities.
Mr. Smith is currently listed with
the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) as outlined
by the Arkansas Pollution Control and Ecology Commission's
Regulation 32. This Regulation requires ADEQ maintain a list of
environmental professionals who meet the education and experience
requirements set forth in federal regulations 40 CFR 312.10 and
Regulation 32 32.301(B) Certification Criteria for Phase I
Consultants. |
