| Phase II Investigation
|
|
The Phase II Investigation is implemented when either possible or actual site contamination has been suspected or identified. This phase consists of site exploration, sampling, monitoring and laboratory analysis as a means to quantify and classify the potential contamination. Depending on the results of the investigation, further studies may be required to properly characterize a site. EEG’s staff works as a team to design the best sampling and analysis program to meet the specific situation. |
ASSESSMENT
- Soil and groundwater sampling
- Air sampling
- Hydrogeologic Assessments
- Soil vapor surveys
- Asbestos surveys
- Regulatory evaluations
- Hazardous waste characterization

To ensure an accurate and detailed assessment, EEG recommends a phased approach to environmental audits.
Our Phase II Environmental Site Assessment will typically require sampling of building materials, stored waste, groundwater or soil sampling, and evaluation of other potential contaminant sources. If the assessment identifies existing contamination, EEG will provide a plan of action, which may consist of additional sampling, testing or a remediation plan.
EEG has completed a wide variety of Phase II assessments including: subsurface assessments, sampling and analysis of surface waters, characterization of potentially hazardous wastes and comprehensive asbestos and lead surveys. |
